The David S. Palmer Arena is a multi-purpose facility located in Danville, Illinois in Vermilion County.
With maximum sports seating capacity of 2,350 the Palmer Arena is perfect for in-your-face sports action. The Arena is home ice for the 2000 Robertson Cup Champion Danville Wings (NAHL) as well as the Danville Youth Hockey. The facility also hosts the Vermilion County Boys Basketball Tournament, Vermilion County Girls Basketball Championship, and the East Central Illinois Community Action Dustbowl Basketball Tournament.
A number of Community events are held annually at the Palmer Arena. The Kiwanis host their annual Pancake Day serving over 3,000 customers in one Day! Provena USMC Foundations' annual Festival of Trees is a week long event held each November.
With maximum seating around 4,750, the Palmer Arena hosts national acts coming to Danville as well. Entertainers such as Tim McGraw, Anne Murray, The Statler Brothers, Guns & Roses, Gallagher, Neal McCoy, Reba McIntire, REO, Speedwagon, The Dixie Chicks and many, many more.
The Arena is frequented with several trade shows each year as well with the Ambucs Home & Business Show and RV Show as well as others.
